Now that you have checked off "find wedding gown" from your list of wedding planning, it is important to consider your alterations. Bridal gowns will almost never fit perfectly off the rack and will almost always require some alteration or modification by a qualified bridal tailor to ensure a perfect fit on you.
Bridal alterations should start 6-8 weeks prior to your wedding day, but should be scheduled as early as possible, typically 4 months ahead of time. This ensures the seamstress is expecting you and you have been penciled into their work schedules.
Our list of recommended tailors have all been vetted, are tenured professionals and continue to showcase exemplary work with each of our brides, however they are each independent contractors with their own pricing and schedules. Please do your due diligence in selecting the tailor you feel most comfortable with.
